Moving to Higher Ground: From Open Access to Open Science in Asia

Nepal Library and Information Consortium (NeLIC) in collaboration with COAR and with support from EIFL organised a two-days Open Access Asia Meeting in Nepal for the advocacy of Open Access on 5-6 December 2017. Open Access activists from different countries in Asia (Bangladesh, Japan, Nepal, Singapore, and South Korea) presented the Open Access activities of their countries. Kazu Yamaji and Kathleen Shearer were keynote speakers. Main purpose of this meeting was to promote Open Access in education and research, encourage to build Open Access Repository and collaborate among the Asian countries for the development of the Open Science platform.
